Destination Wedding Planner

Destination weddings are extremely popular. Going to a beautiful, exotic location to be married takes weddings to a whole new level of excitement. All weddings are joyous occasions but add to that sand, surf, and romantic sunsets or even sunrises. Island weddings seem to be the most common destinations for weddings. A bride and groom can start the honeymoon as soon as the wedding is over.
Most couples want to choose a destination wedding planner because they simply cannot visit the destination often enough to plan a wedding. As soon as the bride and groom choose the destination for the wedding, they should start looking for a wedding planner. The Internet is the perfect place to start looking. Most destination wedding planners advertise on the Internet. The wedding planner will probably have her own web site. The site will contain information about the wedding planner, pictures of weddings she has coordinated, and probably testimonials from her happy brides.
A bride-to-be can tell a lot about a destination wedding planner from their web site. She can see the type of weddings the planner has coordinated and see if their tastes match. If it looks like the planner will meet the brides needs, the bride should immediately call the wedding planner to see if they can work together. If there is flexibility in the wedding date, it's pretty easy to find a mutually advantageous date.
Then the fun begins. After discussing details with the destination wedding planner, the bride can start adding her own touches to make her destination wedding unique. A good destination wedding planner will not offer a package deal. She will work with the bride and groom to give them the marriage of their dreams. A good planner should not offer a cookie cutter wedding she has done over and over again. They can work out a theme. Just because the destination is an island with a beautiful beach doesn't mean that the wedding has to be a beach theme. The bride can be Cinderella at the beach if she wants or she can be Barbie goes to the beach. The sky's the limit. Keep in mind though, that usually it is the budget that's the limit. Destination weddings can be very expensive.
After the bride and her destination wedding planner have worked out all of the details, it's time for the planner to get to work. She will contact her vendors to get information for the bride. She can tell the bride what venues are available for her wedding and reception. The bride and groom can actually research the venues on the Internet and the wedding planner can send pictures via the Internet. After a venue is decided upon, the other details can be completed.
Ideally, the destination wedding planner will be able to video conference with the bride. She can show the bride the flowers that are readily available. She can show the couple a menu from the caterer so that they can choose the menu. The florist can make a sample of the table decorations so that the bride will know if their tastes are similar. The bride can accept or reject at any time. The cost of the wedding will depend on how many people are coming to the destination wedding. Flights, hotel rooms, food, and other essentials add up as more and more people come to the party. The destination wedding planner can assist with all of your reservations, much like a travel agent.
Destination weddings make the whole wedding experience one big party. They are generally more informal and are a perfect time for friends and family to get together with the bride and groom on their special day. Even after the wedding, the party goes on and on because the destination wedding planner did her job and made for an unbelievably wonderful wedding.
